Letter from Doug Craig

Greetings Holy Apostles family,

I wanted to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to share my experience working at Project Mexico to help a family in need of a basic necessity… a home. As I mentioned, it was one of the most spiritually moving and humbling experiences I’ve ever been a part of. As I left, returning this next year with a group from our church became my goal.

Already, the Project Mexico staff is planning mission trips for the summer of 2010 and its time to turn the goal into reality. Patrick and Mercy are talking to the teens to see who might be interested, which could be a great father-son, mother- daughter trip. In addition to the teen group, I would love for anyone interested in this mission trip to be part of the group to support Project Mexico.

You don’t need to be a carpenter or be able to speak Spanish to be a part of this rewarding mission trip. Everyone is welcome to come; however, Project Mexico does have a couple of guidelines for younger participants:

  • 14 – 18 year-olds may come with an adult leader with a leader/student ratio of 1:5 or less
  • Participants under 14 years-old may attend with a parent

Trip dates (subject to availability):

  • June 22-28
  • July 6-12
  • July 29-August 4
  • August 10-16

If you’re interested (even if you’re not sure you can make it this year) or might be able to help financially to make this trip a success, please send me an email (doucraig@deloitte.com) as soon as possible so we can start the planning process.

In Christ,
