2011 Tulsa March for Life

On Saturday, January 22nd, parishioners of Holy Apostles Orthodox Church joined in the 2nd annual Tulsa March for Life.  They joined some 3,000 others from northeast Oklahoma who converged on downtown Tulsa for the March.

Since the beginning, the Orthodox Christian presence has been a small but important component in the Tulsa Pro-Life movement.  Holy Apostles has been represented in the planning committee for the March, and the past two years have seen the Orthodox contingent, complete with church banners and processional cross, at the front of the crowd, just behind Bishop Slattery, the Roman Catholic bishop of Tulsa, and other prominent marchers.
