This Week's Service Schedule
Christ is Born! Glorify Him!
The service schedule this coming week is different than usual. Please note that a Molieben to the Holy Innocents will be served at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. This is a service of prayer to the Innocents slaughtered by Herod at the time of the Lord’s birth, as well as a prayer service for the victims of abortion.
Please also note that there will be no Vespers or Inquirer’s class Wednesday evening, and no Liturgy Thursday morning. Vespers will be served Thursday evening at 6:30, and Liturgy Friday morning at 9:30 in honor of St. Basil the Great. Also, Fr. Ambrose will be serving Liturgy at Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Hartshorne at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 2nd, in honor of St. Seraphim of Sarov.
Next week we celebrate the feast of Theophany, commemorating our Lord’s Baptism in the Jordan River by St. John the Forerunner. It is customary on or soon after the feast of Theophany to invite the priest to your home to have your house (or apartment) blessed with the Holy Water consecrated on the feast.
