Welcome to Our Parish!

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Welcome to the website of Holy Apostles Orthodox Church in Tulsa, Ok. We are a local community of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church founded by the Lord Jesus Christ. Orthodoxy, meaning "right belief and right glory," is the means which God has given us for His glory, and for our salvation. We welcome all who will join us in worshipping the Holy Trinity in spirit and in truth.

Our foundational mission is to reach out to the broader Tulsa community as well as immigrants from traditionally Orthodox countries, and to be faithful to the Tradition of the ancient Apostolic Faith which is revealed in the witness of the Holy Apostles and their sacred Scriptures, the Seven Ecumenical Councils, and our Fathers among the Saints.

If you would like to learn more about the Orthodox Church, or are an Orthodox Christian who needs to be part of the sacramental life of a parish family, we invite you to "come and see." For more information you may call Fr. Ambrose at (918) 638-9854.

Beautiful Serbian Orthodox Celebration of Pascha!

Translation (a poem by St. Nikolai Velimirovich)

People rejoice, nations hear:
Christ is risen, and brings the joy!
Stars dance, mounts sing:
Christ is risen, and brings the joy!
Forests murmur, winds hum:
Christ is risen, and brings the joy!
Seas bow, animals roar:
Christ is risen, and brings the joy!
Bees swarm, and the birds sing:
Christ is risen, and brings the joy!

Angels stand, triple the song:
Christ is risen, and brings the joy!
Sky humble yourself, and elevate the earth:
Christ is risen, and brings the joy!
Bells chime, and tell to all:
Christ is risen, and brings the joy!
Glory to You God, everything is possible to You,
Christ is risen, and brings the joy!

(Thanks to Fr. Stephen Freeman for posting this on his blog.)
